Cobots is a team of AI agents for your mainframe.
If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
Mainframe work, done faster
A team of AI agents that reads z/OS on its own and waits for you before anything changes.
Reads run now
Agents list datasets, read spool and browse members on their own. Reading changes nothing.
Changes wait for you
Edits, job submits and console commands stop at an approval card that shows the exact change.
Watch every screen
Each agent has a live 3270 screen and the list of commands it ran, in order.
Yours to run
A desktop app for macOS and Windows. Mainframe passwords stay in your OS keychain. Bring your own model.
Seamless integration
Connect the tools your team already uses, like GitHub, Slack, Jira and PagerDuty, and pick the model that does the work: Claude, GPT or one you run yourself.

Questions people ask first

Will it change anything on my mainframe without asking me?
No. Agents read on their own: they list datasets, browse members and read spool. Anything that changes z/OS, like editing a member, submitting or cancelling a job, or running a console or TSO command, stops at an approval card that shows the exact change, and nothing happens until you click Approve. Console and TSO commands ask every time; there is no "always allow" for them.
Where does my mainframe password go?
Into your computer's own keychain (Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows). It is never stored in Cobots' database, written to logs, or put in what the AI model sees.
Who sees my mainframe data? Does it go to an AI company?
Cobots runs on your computer and connects straight to your mainframe and to the model you choose. What an agent reads is sent to that model so it can answer, so pick one your company allows: Claude, GPT or Amazon Bedrock with your own key, or a model you run yourself with Ollama or LM Studio so nothing leaves your network. Cobots doesn't need a Zcrafter server to work.
Can an agent do more than my own user ID can?
No. Agents sign in as you, so RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret rules apply to everything they do. If your ID can't read a dataset, neither can they. The Security agent is read-only on top of that: it drafts access changes for your security administrator instead of making them.
Can I use it at work? What will my security team ask?
Ask them first. The short version for them: it's a desktop app that uses your own credentials over z/OSMF, keeps passwords in the OS keychain, can use a model inside your network, asks before every change, and records every action and approval in an audit log. If they want a walkthrough, book a demo with us.
I'm a student, or I don't have a mainframe. Can I still try it?
Yes. The demo on this page runs in your browser with made-up data, no sign-in needed. To practise on a real system, IBM Z Xplore gives learners free z/OS access, and hobby MVS 3.8j systems you run on your own computer work too if they offer a z/OSMF-style API (mvsMF).
Do I need to be a mainframe expert?
No. Ask in plain English, like "Why did PAYROLL abend overnight?" The agents find the job, read the spool and explain the abend, the JCL or the COBOL, and you can watch every screen they open.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
Reads can't break anything, and every change shows up as a diff you review before it runs. If it looks wrong, click Deny and tell the agent why. Every action and approval stays in the audit log.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC". Is it safe?
That's Windows' check for apps it hasn't seen much yet. Cobots is signed: click More info, check the publisher is Victor Taiwo, then click Run anyway.
